Terms and Conditions

1.Deer Stalking will take place on dates previously agreed and will be under the direction of County Deer Stalkings employee's/workers who's decision will be final.

2. It is your responsibility to ensure you are fit & healthy for Deer Stalking. Any health conditions that might affect your ability to stalk deer should be disclosed to your guide prior to your outing.

3. YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN THIRD PARTY INSURANCE

4. An Estate rifle can be made available, however if you are shooting your own rifle it must comply with the minimum legal requirements.

5. You must accept that you will not be permitted to shoot deer unless we are satisfied that you are competent to do so. Depending on your experience we may ask you to pass a shooting test prior to being allowed to stalk.

6. We reserve the right to send a guest home without refund if safety is infringed or inhumane shots are attempted.

There are a number of footpaths and walkers that frequent the land therefore:

SHOTS MAY ONLY BE TAKEN AT STATIONARY DEER WITH AN OBSERVABLE SOFT EARTH BACKSTOP.

If an animal is wounded or missed, all stalking will stop until all possible attempts have been made to locate the animal. Any time spent in excess of the normal 2.5 hour stalk session in search of a wounded animal will incurr an additional charge of £60 ph. In circumstances where the beast is not found and the shot is deemed to be a clean miss, the miss will incur a charge of 75% of the estimated trophy fees and venision at the discretion of the stalking guide. If the animal is deemed to have been wounded, 100% of the applicable success charges or estimated trophy fees and venison will be payable by the client.

7. High seats are maintained to a high standard but guests must accept that they use them at their own risk.

8. Any resulting vension remains the property of County Deer Stalking though you may be given the opportunity to purchase the carcass at the cost of £3.75 per kg larder weight. The full price of the carcase will be charged if the carcase is badly shot resulting in haunch/saddle damage etc.

9. During a stalk outing or on one of our training courses, you may be loaned equipment (£35 charge) to use such as stalking sticks, binoculars or knifes. Whilst the equipment is in the possession of the client during the loan period, the client accepts all risks for personal injury, public liability, personal liability and / or damage to property related to the use of the loaned equipment. In the event that any item of loaned equipment is damaged, the cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the client.

Fees & Charges

The cost of a morning and/or afternoon/evening outing depending on requirements, is currently £155-00. We will endeavour to ensure you are successful, however with wild animals no guarantee can be given as to success.

A. Roe Stalking

Roe Does £125

Cull Bucks, weak heads and yearlings under 200 grms will be charged at £75 + £25-00 per antler point.

Trophy Roe Buck Fees (freak heads, perruques etc are weighed as Trophies).

Uncut heads boiled out will be weighed 24 hours after boiling. Roe buck trophies are charged at £75 + £1.00 per gram for heads weighing over 200grms, heads weighing over 300grms will be charged at £1.25 per gram and £1.50 per gram for any head weighing 400 grams or over.  

B. Fallow Stalking

Fallow Doe £125

We offer challenging Fallow Buck Stalking on 2 private estates in Kent, totally over 1,400 acres. Here the choice of trophies is exceptional and Bucks will invariably be excellent representative heads and/or medal class animals. The outing fee in this environment is £450 for the day and Fallow Trophy bucks are charged as follows: Grade A £1675 | Grade B £1300 | Representative £1170.

We also offer stalking for cull animals (prickets and does) for those who want to gain experience of shooting in this environment and get to grips with gralloching and checking for disease. Cost is £550 for upto 2 animals. Stalking in this setting is surprisingly challenging and the outings range from 4 to 6 hours on average.

 C. Muntjac Stalking

Muntjac Does £125

Muntjac Bucks - Any antlered Buck £175

Muntjac Buck - Representative head £275 (antlers usually 5cm - 9cm in length or combined lengths of 10cm - 18cm)

Muntjac Buck - Mature head £475 (Antlers over 9cm with or without brow tines)

D. Chinese Water Deer (CWD) Stalking

CWD Doe £150

CWD non medal buck £500

CWD Bronze £600 | Silver £700 | Gold £800

E. Sika Deer Trophy Stalking

We offer challenging stalking for Sika Stags in 2 private estates in Kent, totally over 1,400 acres. Here the choice of trophies is exceptional and Stags will invariably be excellent representative heads and/or medal class animals. The outing fee in this environment is £450 and Sika Trophy Stags are charged as follows: Grade A £1950 | Grade B £1550

We also offer stalking for cull animals (prickets and hinds) for those who want to gain experience of shooting in this environment and get to grips with gralloching and checking for disease. Cost is £550 for upto 2 animals. Stalking in this setting is surprisingly challenging and the outings range from 4 to 6 hours on average.

F. Red Deer Trophy Stalking

We offer challenging stalking for Red Stags in our 1,000 acre private estate in Kent. Here the choice of trophies is exceptional and Stags will invariably be excellent representative heads and/or medal class animals. The outing fee in this environment is £450 and Red Stags are charged as follows: upto 17 points £140 pp | 17 points + £155 pp

G. Pere David Trophy Stalking

We offer challenging stalking for Pere David Bulls in 2 private estates in Kent, totalling over 1,400 acres. Here the choice of trophies is exceptional and Bulls will invariably be excellent representative heads and/or medal class animals. The outing fee in this environment is £450 and Pere David Bulls are charged as follows: Grade A £6550 | Grade B £4675 | Representative £3900

H. Barasingha Trophy Stalking

We offer challenging stalking for Barasingha Bucks in 2 private estates in Kent, totalling over 1,400 acres. Here the choice of trophies is exceptional and Bucks will invariably be excellent representative heads and/or medal class animals. The outing fee in this environment is £450 and Barasingha Bucks are charged as follows: Grade A £7800 | Grade B £4550

I. Trophy Stalking – Selection of trophies to be at the discretion of County Deer Stalking staff/workers or the manager of the estate venue. If an animal is wounded or missed, all stalking will stop until all possible attempts have been made to locate the animal. In circumstances where the beast is not found and the shot is deemed to be a clean miss, this may incur a fee at the discretion of the estate. If the animal is deemed to be wounded, time employed tracking and despatching the animal will be charged for in addition to the trophy fee payable.

J. Trophy Preparation - Cutting, boiling and bleaching is charged at; £75-00 for Muntjac, CWD and Roe | £100 for Fallow and Sika | £125 for Red stags + post and packing.

K. Taxidermy - the taxidermy of any trophy can be arranged £POA . Preparation times are usually 10 - 12 weeks.

L. Deposits Cancelations & Bad Weather.

The outing fee is due upon booking an outing, subsequent fees are paid on the day. Trophy Stalking – the outing fee of £450 is due on booking, the cost of the trophy(and any other service required such as taxidermy) to be paid on the day. Cancellations of less than one week (7 days) will incur 100% of the outing fee. Courses are to be paid for in full at the time of booking. Gift vouchers for stalking and courses are non refundable. Refunds will be granted for bad weather only at the discretion of County Deer Stalking.

M. PENALTY CHARGES. A cull buck shot out of season - £125-00. Mature Buck shot in error out of season £450-00 (these are our trophy bucks for next season).

BY ACCEPTING AN OUTINGS STALKING YOU ARE DEEMEMD TO HAVE AGREED TO THE ABOVE TERMS & CONDITIONS.

YOU ALSO DECLARE THAT YOU ARE NOT A PROHIBITED PERSON UNDER SECT 21 1968 FIREARMS ACT OR SECTION 63 2004 FIREARMS (N.I) ORDER.
