Developed and delivered by UKDTR’s team of experienced deer stalkers, dog handlers, and expert trackers, this course is a perfect bolt-on to the PDS1 or DSC1. The course draws on years of real-world experience, to offer a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.

The curriculum is packed with practical advice and proven techniques for following up on shot and/or injured deer and is equips you with vital knowledge and skills.   1. Pre-Stalking Preparations -Essential steps to prepare for the eventuality of a follow-up.
  2. How to Locate a Shot Site - methods for finding and assessing the shot site.

  4. Post-Shot Site Investigation - Best practice and timings for conducting a thorough follow-up after the shot.
  5. Use of Dogs -  How trained dogs can aid significantly in tracking and recovery and considerations for when using your own dog.
