Deer Stalking in the UK - January Almanac

As I look ahead to the new year and the start of 2020, I can not help but be filled with a sense of overwhelming excitement! January can sometimes prove to be a bit gloomy, but not this year, this year I have some exceptional news to announce. Our official members club, the Capreolus Club has acquired the lease on a beautiful new Fallow ground near Mayfield, East Sussex.

The Club has been working hard now for some time, to get further grounds that meet the demand of those living toward the east and south east of London and this ground not only serves this purpose, but also represents one of the finest stalking grounds in the Club’s portfolio.

Just one hour’s drive and 40 miles from both the Dartford Crossing and Dulwich and less than 45 minutes from other major towns such as Brighton, Hastings and Crawley, this ground serves our members from both Essex, East London, West & East Sussex and Surrey perfectly.

Situated in the High Weald, one of England's finest landscapes and designated as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the ground spans around 500 acres and forms part of a ‘Rewilding Scheme’ that lends itself perfectly to deer stalking.

We will be releasing this ground to members of the Club’s PLUS scheme from January 2020, so if you’ve been looking for a deer stalking syndicate to join in 2020, then now is a good time to consider the Capreolus Club PLUS scheme. As well as the syndicate's existing grounds in Surrey, West Sussex Hampshire and Wiltshire, you can expect beautiful meadows and rolling hills in East Sussex, with acreage for both foot stalking and shooting from six perfectly placed high seats.

We are expecting considerable interest in this ground and places are limited, so if you are interested then don’t waste any time in contacting the Club.

In fact, there is a growing list of reasons to consider membership of the Capreolus Club in 2020, including a superb calendar of events that kick off on January 3rd with a stalk day in Hampshire and then an overnight trip for Fallow in the New Forest, 7th - 8th February. These and many more trips that include Red Stag in the Highlands, both UK and European Boar, Range Days, Stalk Days, socials and another fabulous trip to our exclusive ground in Norway - which is where this month’s film comes from. All of these events and more, form just part of the many incentives to join this thriving and very friendly Club.

So, as well as Fallow, what else has January got in store? Well in short, in one corner or another of the UK, pretty much everything except for Roebuck, so If you are prepared to dress up warm and endure some frosty mornings, then you can expect some fabulous stalking!
